BOSS Steve Cuss will have a defensive decision to make as Wimborne Town seek a fifth straight victory in all competitions in Saturday’s league clash with AFC Totton (3pm).

Regular centre-half pairing Adam Costello and Ian Oliver are available after missing last weekend’s giant-killing of Dorchester Town in the FA Trophy but Billy Maybury and Tom Biles performed admirably in their absence.

But Cuss is keen to forget Wimborne’s landmark victory and focus on the bread and butter of the league.

“It was great to get a result against Dorchester, but it’s really important to put the FA Trophy to the back of our minds and concentrate on the job at hand,” he said.

  • Elsewhere, former reserve team boss Martin Spiers takes sole charge of Bashley for the first time when the Southern South & West strugglers entertain Mangotsfield United (3pm).

Bash occupy the second relegation place and are six points adrift of nearest rivals Wantage Town going into the home clash.

Spiers has registered reserve-team full-back Lee O’Connell on senior forms ahead of the game.

  • Struggling Christchurch will have their work cut out to avoid a ninth straight defeat in all competitions at table-topping Whitchurch United in the Wessex League Premier Division.

Manny Soetan is a doubt for Lymington Town who will try to protect a six-match unbeaten league run at AFC Portchester.

Elsewhere, Verwood Town welcome second-placed Moneyfields, Bournemouth Poppies travel to Alresford Town, while Hamworthy United journey to Fawley.

In Wessex One, Ringwood Town travel to Romsey (all 3pm).
