BOSS George Gunn insists his Christchurch fledglings have nothing to fear ahead of their quest for an FA Youth Cup giant-killing against Swindon Town tomorrow (7.45pm).

Gunn revealed his scouting mission to watch the League One outfit's youngsters against their Plymouth Argyle counterparts had given him plenty of encouragement ahead of Priory's big night at Hurn Bridge.

And while he admitted to slightly changing the team's pre-match routine, Gunn was adamant Christchurch could cause a shock by adopting their usual approach.

Gunn told the Daily Echo: “Our preparations have altered a little bit. We might have a pre-match meal and put some treatment on for the boys because we have a few with knocks and fatigue.

“But having watched Swindon, we found areas we should be looking to expose with our normal game.

“They had a lot of quality going forward, kept and moved the ball well and invited their keeper to play a lot. They were strong up front with good, technical midfield players and a winger who was a constant threat.

“But we have a plan and as long as the lads listen to the information we give them, I am confident we can eliminate their threats and impose our game on Swindon.”

The winners will travel to Oxford United or Bristol City in round two.

Elsewhere, Wimborne Town's youth team travel to Oxford City (7.45pm) with the winners hosting Luton Town or Didcot in the second round proper.

  • In the Wessex League Premier Division, Christchurch's first team travel to Blackfield & Langley, Bournemouth Poppies host Fawley, while Lymington Town have a full complement to choose from for their home match with Verwood Town (all 7.45pm).
