TWO Sam Roberts strikes helped Lymington Town grab a 3-1 victory over Blackfield & Langley in the Wessex Premier.

The Linnets came from behind to secure a deserved triumph against a visiting side that ended the game with nine men.

After Blackfield took the lead, a Luke Ansell header sent the teams into the break on level terms. Roberts bagged a brace after the interval before Blackfield had two players red- carded in the closing stages.

Bournemouth Poppies’ clash with Totton & Eling followed a similar pattern as they came from behind to win 3-1 at Victoria Park.

An Elliott Richards penalty put Totton 1-0 up midway through the first period but several minutes later Fawzi Saadi levelled from close range. That was how it stayed until just before the hour mark, when an own goal gave Poppies the lead.

The in-form Sam Pekun made the points safe for Poppies in the 72nd minute.

A Jack Lovell effort could not prevent a 2-1 defeat for Christchurch at the hands of Horndean, for whom Nathan Paxton and Mark Smith scored.

Ryan Long (2), Ashley Jarvis and Richard Gregory gave Folland Sports a 4-3 win over Hamworthy United, who have now lost four away games in a row.

Verwood Town drew 2-2 at home to Brockenhurst as Mark Barker bagged a brace for the visitors.

In Wessex One, New Milton Town drew 2-2 at high-flying Fleet Spurs while Ringwood Town lost 2-1 at home to Cowes Sports.
