WIMBORNE Town boss Steve Cuss is hoping Magpies can capitalise on Non-League Day by showcasing their strong home form to a wider audience.

Unbeaten in three home outings in all competitions, Wimborne welcome Southern South & West rivals Evesham United to Cuthbury on Saturday (3pm).

AFC Bournemouth season ticket holders can watch the game for a cut-price £5 and Cuss is keen for his team to produce in front of a potentially bolstered gate.

He said: “Non-League Day gives us the opportunity to demonstrate the quality of football we are capable of producing to a wider public.”

Ian Oliver is in contention to return following suspension but Patrick Wilson is out through injury.

Meanwhile, Christchurch head into their Wessex Premier visit to Petersfield off the back of a 2-2 home draw with Hamworthy United on Wednesday.

A Dom Allen penalty put United 1-0 up in the first half before the same man doubled the lead nine minutes into the second period.

However, Marcus Cullen pulled one back and then Nathan Saxby levelled matters with 14 minutes to play.

Elsewhere in the Wessex Premier Division on Saturday, Bournemouth Poppies entertain Folland Sports and Verwood Town host Horndean. Ringwood Town travel to East Cowes in Wessex One.

Hamworthy are one of three local sides in action in the FA Vase first qualifying round when they welcome Winterbourne United to the County Ground.

Lymington Town face visitors Romsey Town while Dorset Premier League outfit Swanage Town & Herston will hope to upset Downton at Days Park.
