IRATE boss Steve Cuss pulled no punches as goals at either end of the match saw Wimborne Town surrender their unbeaten start at Cinderford.

Joe Donaghue latched on to a poor backpass to slide home the opener within 60 seconds but James Stokoe levelled for Magpies with 34 minutes played.

George Webb spurned a golden opportunity to put Wimborne in front just before the break, drilling wide of the upright from inside the penalty area.

The second half seemed destined for stalemate but Leroy Odiero was on hand to convert an injury-time free kick to seal a 2-1 victory for the hosts.

“We got we deserved,” said Cuss. “It was a kick in teeth to concede in the last minute but we put in a below-par performance and too many players had an off day.”

Cuss’s men will be without injured striker Matt Kemble (ankle) as look to bounce back at winless Bashley tomorrow (3pm).

Bash remain second bottom of Southern South & West following Saturday’s 2-1 reverse at Tiverton Town.

Tivvy threatened to run away with the game after first-half goals from Jake Wannell and Owen Howe.

Shivvy Roushbaiani pulled one back before the break to make matters interesting and while the hosts had the better of the second half, Bash almost stole a point through late efforts from substitute Husam Aurow and defender Greg King.

Magpies: Harvell, Arnold, Biles, Oliver, Maybury, Wilson, Blake, Webb (Davidson, 61), Stokoe, Griffin (Powell, 79), Kemble (Gamble, 52). Unused subs: Costello, Brimson.

Bash: Maher, Ferguson, Moore, King, Oldring, Bosma (Morse, 65), Kinley, L Speechley-Price, Brading, Roushbaiani (Aurow, 65), M Speechley-Price, (Booker, h-t).
