BOSS Steve Cuss wants Wimborne Town to kick-off a Magnificent Seven when they begin their hectic February fixture list against Bishop’s Cleeve on Saturday (3pm).

The struggling Gloucestershire outfit, who sit third-bottom of Southern South & West ahead of their trip to Dorset, provide the opposition at the beginning of a busy month for Magpies.

Six consecutive postponements have seen Steve Cuss’s 10th-placed team fall 10 points behind the final play-off place currently occupied by North Leigh.

But despite a sizeable gap emerging during Wimborne’s enforced break, the Cuthbury manager called for his players to focus on getting back into the swing of things after such a lengthy lay-off.

“The players are champing at the bit to get out onto the pitch to play football,” said Cuss. “I want them to enjoy playing again.”

Wimborne have a fully fit squad to choose from but James Stokoe still has one game of a three-match suspension, which began in December, to serve.

Elsewhere, Bashley will be looking to complete a rare double in their crunch home clash with fellow strugglers Bedford (3pm).
