HAT-TRICK hero Mark Gamble dedicated his haul to Wimborne manager Steve Cuss after inspiring another six-goal trouncing of Evesham United.

Magpies travelled back from Worcestershire with a much-needed three points following the 6-2 success which brought to an end a run of four defeats in five games.

Gamble, who has now scored 23 league goals this season, also helped himself to a treble against the Robins when Wimborne scored six against the same opponents at Cuthbury in August.

This time the former Bashley hotshot was joined on the scoresheet by Sam Griffin and George Webb (2) but despite the free-flowing display, Gamble was quick to push the praise onto his boss.

Gamble told the Daily Echo: “Much has been made of our form over the past month. For where we want to be it has not been good enough and, as players, we know that.

“We have not performed to the standards we have set and this win must be dedicated to the manager.

"It was a bit of a relief, particularly after we had started really slowly but in the end we could have scored a few more goals.

“We conceded at the start of each half and it is important we stop giving teams that head start.”

Magpies: Harvell, Arnold, Oliver, Wilson, Middleton, Blake, Maybury (Burton-Hemmings, 74, Donachy, 83), Sainsbury, Webb (Roast, 89), Gamble, Griffin.
