Non-league: Bashley confirm John Pyatt's appointment as joint-manager
BASHLEY have confirmed the appointment of John Pyatt as joint-manager.
The former Brockenhurst manager and director of football, 48, was unveiled by his fellow Bash boss Paul Gazzard on Sunday before chairman Mike Cranidge vetoed the move.
But after meeting with Pyatt on Monday, Cranidge belatedly backed the proposal and advised the rest of the Southern Premier club's committee to give their approval.
And despite Bashley's Red Insure (League) Cup tie against Weymouth being postponed due to floodlight failure just before kick-off tonight, Pyatt's appointment was ratified.
Cranidge, who said rain water had got into the club's electrics, told the Daily Echo: "John Pyatt will be our new joint-manager following a committee meeting this evening.
"We're pleased to get it all sorted and look forward to working with John."
Pyatt, who is away for Saturday's FA Trophy match at Hungerford and next Tuesday's rescheduled tie with Weymouth, will start his new role next Thursday.
The Dorset derby finished 1-1 after 90 minutes with no extra-time played.
