Dorset Premier League: Swans spread wings with Beale's four-goal blast
CAPTAIN Sam Beale led from the front as Swanage Town & Herston registered a 6-1 victory over Shaftesbury at Day’s Park.
The midfielder netted a stunning four-timer – including a 12-minute hat-trick – as Swans recorded back-to-back wins for the first time since March.
Richie Best scored for the second game in succession to cancel out Shaftesbury’s opener before Beale opened his account on the stroke of half-time to make it 2-1.
Beale’s quick fire second-half treble killed off Shaftesbury before George Harvey administered the coup de grâce from the penalty spot.
Dorset cricket ace Nick Park came up trumps when he netted a debut winner to help hoist Cranborne off the foot of the table following a 2-1 win over Tintinhull.
Park won the day for the Cranes after Oliver Reynolds-McGowen’s sixth-minute opener had been cancelled out by Max Harrington.
Carl McClements netted four times in Weymouth reserves’ 5-0 victory against Hamworthy United reserves at the County Ground, while Oliver Clayton and Tom Trass hit consolations in Parley Sports’ 9-2 drubbing by Bridport reserves.
Efforts from David Best and Liam Currell, coupled with an own goal, saw Wareham Rangers’s revival continue with a 3-1 home win over Holt United who replied through Josh Walter.
Luke Crane’s double and goals from Saul Boulton and Dan Holland earned Blandford United a 4-3 victory over Sherborne Town reserves, while Luke Stone’s penalty and a Richard Sands effort failed to save Hamworthy Recreation from defeat against Portland United.
