Non-league: Chairman Cranidge recommends Pyatt for Bashley post
JOHN Pyatt's appointment as joint-manager of Bashley moved a step closer to fruition this afternoon after chairman Mike Cranidge recommended him for the post.
Following a meeting between the two, Cranidge confirmed he would present Pyatt to the club's committee either before or after Wednesday's league cup tie with Weymouth.
The latest development in the saga came just hours after boss Paul Gazzard's attempt to appoint Pyatt - who had resigned as director of football at Brockenhurst to take the role - had been vetoed by Cranidge.
But after sitting down with the former Brock and Lymington manager, the Bash chief advised his committee to belatedly accept Gazzard's proposal.
Bashley chairman Cranidge told the Daily Echo: “Having met with John Pyatt, I have been left in a very positive frame of mind and immediately felt he would be ideal for what the club wants.
“John will be presented to the executive committee on Wednesday and I see no reason why he will not be appointed.”
