Firefighters bid to raise money for Culliford (From Bournemouth Echo)

WESTBOURNE fire station is hosting a fundraiser for Andy Culliford, who is battling motor neurone disease.

Culliford, a local firefighter, is well known on the non-league circuit following spells with clubs including Poole, Poppies, Wimborne and Bashley.

His colleagues have arranged a pirate-themed fancy dress party on Friday to raise money for Culliford’s treatment.

Tickets for the event, which runs from 7.30pm until late at the station on Alumhurst Road, cost £10, which includes a drink, band and disco.
