SALMAN Khattak’s brutal innings laid the platform for Parley’s thumping 100-run win over Kingston Lacy in the top-of-the-table clash, writes Ian Wadley.

Khattak smashed 76 off just 36 balls – an effort which made Raj Naik’s 73 off 75 balls look pedestrian – as Parley posted 288 for six batting first.

And not satisfied with just his batting heroics, Khattak claimed four for 36 and Raj Naik two for 18 as Lacy were knocked over for 188.

The convincing victory, Parley’s seventh in 10 matches this term, puts them in total charge in the race for Division One glory.

• Dean Pearce’s unbeaten 100 was the highlight of Bournemouth’s comfortable win against Henstridge.

Pearce, whose older brother Ian hit a ton last week, smashed a six out of the ground – and on to the A30 – off the final ball of an innings he dominated to bring up his century.

He was the stand-out performer in Bournemouth’s 223 for six, before Brett Spicer (4-15) and Simon Ridley (4-46) skittled the hosts for 142.

• Studland secured a thrilling eight-run win over Poole Town in a closely-fought contest.

Captain Mark Elliott (51) and Paul Osbourne (45) helped Studland post a respectable 276 all out batting first.

And despite slumping to 96 for six in reply, Poole almost got home, but Phil Lewis (3-51) helped Studland over the line.

• Carl Poore and Ryan Beck were the stars of the show as Cranborne hammered St Georges.

Poore struck an unbeaten 75 and Beck claimed five for 30 in the comfortable victory.

• Parley under-15s claimed yet more silverware as they defeated Broadstone at Dean Park to claim the county title.

The 2006 national champions triumphed in their fourth Dorset final of the ECB National Under-15 Club Championship in five years.
