YOUNGSTER Felix Organ was handed his first-class debut by Hampshire in their County Championship clash against Middlesex.
The talented 18-year-old, who skippered the Hampshire academy side in the Southern Premier League this season, got the nod for the four-day clash after scoring a century in a second XI friendly against Glamorgan.
Former Canford School pupil Organ is yet to bat in the rain-affected encounter, in which hosts Middlesex are 76 for three batting first after day two.
The all-rounder is listed to bat at four for the visitors at Uxbridge in the first division clash.
Born in Sydney, Organ (pictured) shot to fame in July 2015 as a 16-year-old when he made an unbeaten 101 for Hampshire’s academy against Australia’s women.
He was vice-captain of the Hampshire team who won the ECB Under-17 County Championship that summer.
The England under-19 international was also a record-breaker during his time at Canford School.
Organ and Felix Ambrose both hit unbeaten centuries in a thumping win over Somerset-based Millfield School in May 2015. It was the first time in 11 years that two pupils had crashed through the 100 mark in the same match.
