PATRICK Holly played a starring role as Bashley marched into the Southern Premier League t20 Cup quarter-final courtesy of an eight-wicket win at Basingstoke & North Hants.

The teenage all-rounder claimed figures of six for 27 as Bash routed the hosts of 74 before hitting an unbeaten 38 from 31 balls as the visitors coasted to victory.

Holly was aided by Thomas Saunders (2-18), Jake Lilley (1-7) and Simon Ridley (1-18) before he shared an unbroken stand of 52 with Neil Thurgood (16) as Bash reached 76 for two from 13 overs.

Victory set up a trip to Hook & Newnham Basics in the last four, with all ties due to be played on Sunday, July 23.

Bashley will be hoping to get their Premier Division title challenge back on track when they visit reigning champions Havant tomorrow.

Burridge, fresh from their 10-wicket win over Bash six days ago, host New Milton, while Lymington entertain Alton (all 11am starts).

In Division One, third-placed Bournemouth host fourth-placed Portsmouth in the first of three games which could determine their destiny – with high-fliers Hook and leaders Calmore their next two opponents (1pm).
