ED ELLIS played his part in a Lord’s triumph as the University of Oxford overcame Loughborough University in the MCC Universities Challenge final.

The 21-year-old, who plays for Lymington in the Southern Premier League, hit 10 not out as Oxford posted 267 for nine.

And wicketkeeper Ellis then claimed two catches to help his team stop Loughborough on 230 all out in the 48th over.
