AUSSIE Ben Ashkenazi took centre stage as Lymington edged a 22-run win at home to Premier Division new boys Sarisbury.

Ashkenazi, a right-arm medium-pacer, claimed five victims for a paltry 31 runs as he helped halt the visitors just in time.

Lymo batted first and after an initial wobble at 57 for four, Darren Cowley (32) and Matt Metcalfe (29) steadied the ship alongside an inspired Cam Grierson (51).

The hosts eventually reached 192 all out in the 50th over, with Daniel Goldstraw taking three for 34.

Sarisbury were early trouble at six for two as Metcalfe and Ashkenazi struck but Ryan Burl proved a stubborn proposition (74).

Ricky Rawlins (30*) also impressed in the lower order but the demolition job of Ashkenazi and Cowley (3-52) proved too much for Sarisbury to handle.

Lymo dismissed their opponents for 170 in the 38th over and clocked up their second league win of the season in the process.
