A BLISTERING first-half display helped Cherries’ under-21s to a resounding 5-0 friendly victory over their Grasshopper Zurich counterparts.
The clash, played at Southampton’s training ground, saw Carl Fletcher’s men race into a 3-0 lead after just nine minutes.
Keelan O'Connell struck a quickfire double before Mikael Ndjoli added a third from the penalty spot to put Cherries in command.
Jordan Lee and Kyle Taylor also got in on the act before the interval as all of Cherries goals came in the opening period.
