THREE goals in 16 second-half minutes saw Cherries claim another famous win at Stamford Bridge – with Eddie Howe’s men lowering the colours of the champions for the second time in three seasons.

Callum Wilson, Junior Stanislas and Nathan Ake were on target as Cherries extended to six matches their unbeaten run in the Premier League, equalling their best unbeaten sequence in the top flight.

Chelsea, who had won seven of their previous eight home league games and drawn the other, were ruthlessly dismantled as Cherries had their travelling army of supporters in dreamland.

Antonio Conte’s men had been bidding to keep five consecutive Premier League clean sheets at home for the first time in three years – but were torn apart by Cherries’ rapid three-goal salvo.

And having not conceded in the top flight at the Bridge for 438 minutes ahead of kick off, Chelsea were rocked as they shipped three in quick succession.

Boss Eddie Howe was forced to make one change to the Cherries starting line-up after defender Adam Smith was ruled out with a thigh injury.

Howe said he expected Smith to miss a couple of games, leaving him doubtful for the visit of Stoke to Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

He was replaced by Junior Stanislas, who had been so effective after coming off the bench in the 1-1 draw at West Ham earlier this month.

Harry Arter and Marc Pugh were named among the Cherries substitutes but there was again no place for striker Benik Afobe.

Ross Barkley was handed his first Premier League start for Chelsea having sat out most of the first half of the season through injury following his summer move from Everton.

New signing Emerson was absent having only signed from Roma on Tuesday, while Michy Batshuayi was also missing having agreed a switch to Borussia Dortmund.

With Alvaro Morata sidelined and Olivier Giroud not registered in time, Eden Hazard and Pedro were tasked with leading the line against the Cherries.

As Cherries looked to draw first blood, a short corner ended with Jordon Ibe seeing his goalbound effort charged down by Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Full-back Charlie Daniels then had to be on his toes to turn away Hazard’s flighted cross to the far post where Pedro had arrived to pounce.

Stanislas warmed the hands of Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois with a long-range effort which the Belgian international saved comfortably.

Pedro turned sharply on the edge of the box, only to blaze his shot high over the crossbar before Callum Wilson was penalised for hauling back Andreas Christensen as Ryan Fraser looked to race clear.

Stanislas met Wilson’s driven low cross with a cheeky back-heel which failed to find a way through, while Ibe forced Courtois to pluck his 20-yarder out of the top corner.

Chelsea defender Christensen succumbed to what appeared to be a hamstring injury midway through the first half and was replaced by Antonio Rudiger.

Gary Cahill arrived at the near post to head a Pedro corner inches over the crossbar before Cherries had an escape when Hazard completely missed a cross from Marcos Alonso when well placed.

Steve Cook atoned for his own error having lost possession to Pedro, the Cherries defender’s superb saving tackle denying Hazard a run on goal after the ball had run to the Belgian playmaker.

As Chelsea looked to up the tempo, Alonso’s delicate header from a Davide Zappacosta centre drifted narrowly past the upright after 40 minutes.

Lewis Cook’s foul on Hazard at the start of the second half presented Chelsea with a free kick in a dangerous area, with Alonso clipping it just over the crossbar.

Wilson opened the scoring when he finished with aplomb after being teed up by Ibe’s perfectly-weighted pass, the striker side-footing past the advancing Courtois from around 12 yards six minutes into the second period.

It was Wilson’s fourth goal in his past six Premier League games – and the first conceded by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in 489 minutes in the top flight.

As the hosts went in search of a quick response, Hazard fired straight at Cherries goalkeeper Asmir Begovic before Lewis Cook’s venomous drive flashed past the upright. Cherries doubled their lead through Stanislas in the 64th minute, the winger poking the ball through Courtois’s legs after trading passes down the left with Wilson.

And the visiting supporters were in dreamland after Chelsea old boy Ake added a third just three minutes later, a goal which stunned the home fans into silence.

Ake, who spent six years with the Blues, diverted a Stanislas cross past a shell-shocked Courtois from close range after Wilson had also been instrumental in the build-up.

Chelsea’s appeals for a penalty fell on deaf ears after Pedro’s header appeared to have struck Ake’s hand with referee Lee Probert unmoved.

Although Chelsea tried to repair some of the damage, Cherries held on with few scares to write another chapter in the club’s history books.
