Press conference put on hold
 |
| Jeff Mostyn |
JEFF Mostyn has this afternoon confirmed that there will be no Cherries press conference tomorrow.
The Cherries chairman's consortium had been expected to reveal their plans for the club, but things have been temporarily put on hold.
"As a result of me being abroad for four days, our timing has been put back," Mostyn told the Daily Echo.
"In order to ensure all the legal work has been completed, we're deferring the press conference until hopefully the end of next week."

Is this lack of competent planning a vision of the future?
OK I'm very cynical about the whole business but it sounds like the un-named members of the consortium were somewhat airey-fairy just like the other mooted over the last 12 months.
I wish the mysterious Midlands businessman would show himself as a solid proposition - if he really exists,

Don't get me wrong here, I don't have much faith in Mostyn and never have. But if I was putting £110,000 into a Company that was about to go bust, firstly I'd be bloody stupid but secondly I'd want to minimise my risk as much as possible by having the money secured on something tangible.

Pooleboy - no problem with him securing the 'extra' £110k that he put in towards the end of last year, presumably over and above the promised £750k (in shares).
But scroll down to the Debenture dated Jan 08. AndrewVP asked what it means - well the first bit relates to what is owed to who: [italic]"ALL MONIES DUE OR TO BECOME DUE FROM THE COMPANY (ie AFCB)TO THE CHARGEE (Mostyn) ON ANY ACCOUNT WHATSOEVER"[/italic] - this says that this charge/debenture covers every penny that is owed to Jeff Mostyn by the club.
Contrary to what Krasner said at the 2nd press conference when challenged on this point it does NOT say that it is only in respect of monies lent to the club from the date of he charge going forward.
The second part relates to what Mostyn has a charge over, ie what assets of the club he has first call over: [italic]"ALL ASSETS PROPERTY AND UNDERTAKING AND ALL PROPERTIES, ALL INTERESTS NOT EFFECTIVELY MORTGAGED OR CHARGED, ALL RIGHTS LICENCES GUARANTEES RENTS DEPOSITS CONTRACTS COVENANTS AND WARRANTIES, ALL LICENCES CONSENTS AND AUTHORISATIONS HELD IN CONNECTION WITH THE BUSINESS OR USE OF ANY CHARGE PROPERTY AND ALL RIGHTS IN CONNECTION WITH THEM, ALL GOODWILL AND UNCALLED CAPITAL AND ALL EQUIPMENT"[/italic] - ie, everything of vaue.
As secured creditors have first call on the assets in administration it is hardly surprising that other potential bidders 'mistakenly' thought they would have to pay Mostyn off in full if they bid successfully.

More smokescreens and lies is all that I see and hear from the new 'old' regime.
Bets on for the press conference going ahead next week?

Has anyone requested that the Football League make urgent enquiries into AFCB and the Mostyn Mafia?
Mostyn is a multi-millionare businessman so is he likely to give money away without a secure return with interest?

WARNING:-
Gerald Krasner gives season ticket holders a vote at the creditors' meeting. 3,000 supporters are to be able to have their say on the CVA, but is it their vote or their voice that he is really after?
Gerald Krasner told every loyal season ticket holder at AFC Bournemouth that they were creditors. At the date the club went into administration they had already paid for matches until the end of the season and so he has decided that technically they are owed the pro-rated value of their match tickets. He urged them to get to the planned creditors' meeting and to use their votes in favour of the CVA.
With Stanley Cohen and HMRC holding all the cards the value of the season ticket holders' vote is negligible. Krasner stated that the total debt to be voted now exceeded £5,000,000. A rough estimate of 3,000 season ticket holders being owed an average of £40 means that they represent less than 2.4% of the total.
Of course, the season ticket holders are far more numerous than the other creditors. If they can be persuaded that the club's existence depends on a yes vote for Mostyn's consortium and turn out for the creditors' meeting in good numbers then the dynamics of the meeting will change considerably. Rather than facing a room full of angry creditors who are losing money that many of them may not be able to afford to, the package will be presented to a much more supportive audience. The dissenters will be drowned out by the voices of these season ticket holders. Now I'm not suggesting that intransigent creditors will be swayed by this - but it will serve to prevent any dissention from gaining momentum in the room and winning over the undecided.
Whether using these tactics to steamroller Mostyn's bid through is in the best interests of the football club or not remains to be seen.

Question (a genuine one) If the Players deffered some of the wages they were due to Help the Club out does that mean that they are creditors as well because the Club owes `them money. In which case should they attend as well
