JACKSON'S YOUTH POLICY
Exclusive By Neil Perrett

MARC Jackson says Cherries will turn to youth in an attempt to make an instant return to League One next season.

Jackson was yesterday confirmed as the third member of Jeff Mostyn's consortium, which has won the one-horse race to buy Cherries.

The 46-year-old Branksome-based businessman has been involved in youth football for 21 years and is set to unveil his blueprint for Cherries at a press conference next week.

Jackson told the Daily Echo: "I want a young team, that's key to the future. You don't want to build a young team and sell it. You want to build a young team to sustain three or fours years going forward.

"I think the fans should be excited about what's going to be rolled out. It's visionary and it's for a sustainable future for the club.

"We're going to build a good team for next season which can compete in the division that we're going to be in."

Jackson has been coaching youth teams throughout the south and also scouting for Southampton. He first became involved with the Saints Academy 10 years ago.

He was also involved in the project management of St Mary's Stadium and helped try to bring investment to the club during Rupert Lowe's time as chairman.

Jackson added: "I've put together the packages so many times for other people that I thought I'm going to put the blueprint into Bournemouth.

"Revenue streams and everything else are important to the club, but football is key to me and I'm going to make it right. My experience is in academies and I've got good contacts."

Jackson specialises in business strategy and has contacts both in football and the City. He also has business interests in Dubai and was trained as a business development manager and strategist by Rank Xerox.

He has been working with Mostyn in trying to source investment for Cherries for the past few months and recently joined forces with the club's current chairman.

Taken to a new / real name now then BBC?

Anyway, I had to laugh when I read this:

"was trained as a business development manager and strategist by Rank Xerox".

Bit different to the negative spin some 'fan' was putting out that Johnson 'sells photocopiers' for a living. Brilliant.

I for one just want to see an emphasis back on the football....

So what is he saying he couldnt find any investors so he got in himself. I hope this Guy is genuine because he has got in with a crowd that nobody trusts and working for cash strapped Scumhampton is hardly something to be proud of of Our ex Scumhampton contingent are not setting the World on fire

So he talks the talk, let's hope he back it up and we get this team, no doubt there is going to be a fair amount of doubt until we see something happen but if he is a man of his word then we can be hopeful, a little for now anyway.

Do we trust this scummer? Mostyn looked what happened to Rupert Lowe and take note!

Kevvo you are at it again, stop looking for the bad in everything, you know as well as I do we have had little or no real interest in the club, at least we now have a club going forward and have a team to cheer on, time to but all the bad behind us and give the guy a chance, if he let's us down that's another matter but for now a little bit of hope wouldn't go amiss.

I agree to a point they all have told us what wonderfull things they are going to do and this Guy may be different but its up to the Board now to try and repair the damage that they created Hopefully they will realise that telling lies is not the answer but as you say allways a glimmer of hope that someone with integity and a consience is really there

Good lets hope so but remember this statement everyone

The proof of the pudding is as always in the eating and we will know soon enough whether their actions match their words. It is futile and pointless to continue to rant and rail. There is only one option at this tome namely to support the consortium in getting the CVA and in putting the Club's house in order. We can only wait and see whether there will be sufficient monies put in to buy back the Stadium, boost Joe's youth set up and which players are retained, all this will be evident within a couple of months. Until then, we should support the team.

Hope you have loads of cash.... as dont expect it from the fans, donation fatigue has been lasting for years due to successive incompetence and contstant mis-management.

Someone had better tell Bond about the youth policy, and quick! He does not seem to get it.

Do any of us know if the people we comment on read this?

If they do I hope the ones who have a vote NOT to accept Krasner's proposals. There is a lot of bitterness between Mostyn and former directors and I hope they show Mostyn the door and the creditors meeting.
If you read between the lines on all Krasner statements, he tries and put the fear that the club will close if the creditors turn down his offer, this is just sabre rattling as far as I am concerned. I have no absolute proof that I could reveal anyway, but should the creditors reject Krasner and the club are at the point of liquidation there is a purchaser waiting in the wings to buy the club, the ground and bring in a new team manager upwards.

Despite all of this there is going to be a football league inquiry over the AFCB accounts and subsidiary matters so the club could still be thrown out of the league. This is what the "buyer in the wings" is concerned about.
It would also be good publicity this Saturday if all AFCB supporters were to show their distrust of the 'Mostyn Mafia'.
AFCB will be saved but not by Mostyn.

A bit of factual information about marc Jackson for you....
1) He hasn't a penny to his name.
2) If you visit www.copyrite.co.uk and go to staff contacts and scroll down to the bottom you will see he is the 4th person from the left. (the one who is over 20stone!)
The guy is a fraud, and I feel so so sorry for all you loyal Cherrie fans! You deserve better. His knowledge of football is very poor, he smokes like a chimney and I know for a fact he has no involvement with the southampton academy.
This is all FACT.

Kevin you prat what differance does it make what he did previously he has obviously come up with the money so don`t be bitter i am sure you are super fit and the most attractive man in the world probaly still living with you mother .... lets just hope what ever he has done before he might be able do get the cherries out the mess they are in now..
Posted by: kevin sheedy, dorset on 10:49am Fri 14 Mar 08
Its not bitter, I couldn't care less what he does, I just don't want him to wreck a good football club with a great history.
If he has so much money, why does he not even own a property or a car????

no chance of cva being accepted.do people honestly think that 15 points will sort this all out?. No it will only be sorted when the Taxman is paid.Correct me but CVA is up to ten years. We may have 3 weeks or so and we could then be shut down. Do not let this claptrap that we will be going up next year-debt free. We must try to survive, and someone please tell me that Vokes is on the way to Magwayland is a load of old nonsense. If you keep him and the longer you keep him his worth will increase-dont just give him away.If nurtured correctly could be worth millions

The tax man is a preferential creditor and will get paid first! what is left will be shared out amongst the other creditors.

I agree with you lymocherry; lets get behind AFCB as a whole now - no one else has come up with a package to take over, so if this does go thru' (CVA permitting) we will still have a club to support and thats the main thing. If they fail to take us forward, blueprints or no, THEN we can start pointing the finger, burning effigies and throwing eggs at the ECHO offices! UTCIAD

The ones that wanna moan and groan why don't you **** off and not bothering supporting the club anymore?

I hear all this I'm gonna go support poole town or whoever..Then do it and don't post about AFCB go watch them.

I'm not exactly happy with the way it's run but whats better? Having no club or having some club?

You don't know what you got till it's gone.

Now in this new era shall we support the club evermore? or don you just wanna sit and moan about it.

...lamarinacf..don't insult the many fans who are not moaning just concerned when they can smell a rat (or two) and have over the years invested so much in this club..we all have aright to voice our opinions even if they are not to everyone's taste...as for new era?...you are joking right?...with JM / SS and kevin Bond at the helm what new era is that then?

THe most important part of any blueprint from anyone is the fact that Bond will not be any part of the future.

If he remains on board we will be going nowhere.

It's a newer era than no club...this club has been a shambles for years and years so it's nothing new to have a rat or 2 or 3 or 4.

I just got annoyed about all this go support these go support that for so many months now the same thing keeps repeating over & over again that's why im annoyed.

I've never been a fan of JM & SS but what can we do? and certainly not Bond and that's the first thing that needs to change end of season.

Just I dunno can we stop all the crap and get behind the boys for next season and try get promotion back to L1. If we disagree with the owners or not it's the team we support.

I guess you work or are friends with someone at the club takeover. The club goes back over 100 years and you complain about people moaning at its worst situation. Its not a huge club, but it was something special to us. Now it means nothing to me and many old supporters. It seems the club died when it turned on its own for financial gain. Good luck with your little business venture, but don't expect us to buy your bull.

The ECHO are in Mostyn's pocket. Their shamelessly scewed press stories are a disgrace to journalism and an insult to the people of this town.

Its like taking poison but Mostyn is here and the only thing he can do to make people think that he is genuine (a tall order I know) is to get rid of the incompetant Manager to prove he can put the future of the Club before looking after his lacky friends

'helped try to bring investment to the club during Rupert Lowe's time as chairman.'

How much 'help did MJ provide?

Considering they are some £20m odd in debt, it doesn't bode well does it?

Let's hope he does a better job of 'helping' AFCB!!
