Mostyn had exclusivity deal in place
BUYER: Jeff Mostyn
BUYER: Jeff Mostyn

JEFF Mostyn had a semi-exclusivity agreement to buy Cherries out of administration, Gerald Krasner revealed yesterday.

Krasner announced he had accepted an offer from a consortium of Mostyn, Steve Sly and businessman Marc Jackson at Dean Court yesterday.

Sources close to the Daily Echo claimed last month that the Cherries chairman had such an arrangement.

But Krasner said: "He did not have a complete exclusivity agreement. If I got a better offer, he was allowed to bid again.

"He had semi-exclusivity on the basis he was funding. Nobody else has even bid. If I'd got a better offer, he'd have had to match that offer."

Despite sending out 16 confidentiality letters to interested parties, it appears Mostyn's group was the only one that came forward with a firm offer.

"It is the only offer," said Krasner. "If you're selling your house for £100,000, sorry we're in Bournemouth, for £500,000, and somebody offers you £480,000 and it's the only offer - it's the only offer."

Krasner confirmed that the bid was a "seven-figure sum" and denied he was originally seeking £3million for the club.

He said: "The only thing that's differed from the day one strategy I had is that I only got one offer and not two.

"I expected at least two offers. Out of 16 letters sent out, two would have been a reasonable response.

"At least Bournemouth have a chance of sorting it out, coming out clean with no debt and going forward."

Krasner was keen to emphasise the important role to be played by Cherries' season ticket holders, who are all creditors due to the unfulfilled fixtures at the time of the club going into administration, when it comes to the CVA.

Their votes could be crucial in the club gaining a successful CVA.

He said: "They've got nothing to lose."

Do any of us know if the people we comment on read this?

If they do I hope the ones who have a vote NOT to accept Krasner's proposals. There is a lot of bitterness between Mostyn and former directors and I hope they show Mostyn the door and the creditors meeting.
If you read between the lines on all Krasner statements, he tries and put the fear that the club will close if the creditors turn down his offer, this is just sabre rattling as far as I am concerned. I have no absolute proof that I could reveal anyway, but should the creditors reject Krasner and the club are at the point of liquidation there is a purchaser waiting in the wings to buy the club, the ground and bring in a new team manager upwards.

Despite all of this there is going to be a football league inquiry over the AFCB accounts and subsidiary matters so the club could still be thrown out of the league. This is what the "buyer in the wings" is concerned about.
It would also be good publicity this Saturday if all AFCB supporters were to show their distrust of the 'Mostyn Mafia'.
AFCB will be saved but not by Mostyn.

Krasner had no other offers, well how strange, was that something to do with the other BEING WARNED OFF, as was openly reported. Just remember any of you who decide to go into business, if your gonna be a crook, get a crooked account to work for you. Accountant - administrator, same difference.
