Cherries: Former England keeper James training with Groves' squad
9:39am Thursday 27th September 2012 in Cherries News
By Neil Perrett
FORMER England goalkeeper David James has today linked up with Cherries for training.
The 42-year-old, who was released by Bristol City at the end of last season, is expected to be assesed during the next two days before a decision is made as to whether he could feature against Walsall on Saturday.
Current first choice Shwan Jalal has kept one clean sheet in eight league games and the 15 goals conceded by Cherries sees them hold the joint second worst defensive record in League One.
James played for Watford, Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Ham, Manchester City and Portsmouth during an illustrious career.
He was capped 53 by England and his last appearance came in the 2010 World Cup quarter-final defeat to Germany. He also became the oldest World Cup debutant when he lined up in South Africa aged 39.
Based in Newton Abbot, James trained with League Two outfit Exeter in July and has worked with both Cherries boss Paul Groves and advisor Harry Redknapp in the past.

Seriously I've always rated James and if Friedel can play to Premier League standard at 41 then sign him up.

Yes he can be brilliant, but can also be a liability. With our defensive weaknesses he could be exposed too often when he's having a bad day.

Isn't his nickname Calamity James for a reason.

Welcome to the new gaffer... I mean keeper. Cos he's here to play. Not to be lined up as the next manager. Absolutely no question of it. None.

Would be a good signing certainly no worse than Jalal.Id rather be reading about Groves & his gofer getting the sack & a decent manager being hired.

Spend more of the club's money on even more players. When does Pitman arrive on no doubt Championship wages? lol
Its not going to work Tom cos your whole idea is flawed because of the clueless manager and relative you have in place

give groves 2 more games, that will be 2 more defeats, then the pressure is too much for mitch so he'll give a seemingly desperate james the managers job or a proven yes man in big fletch
unfortunately mitch isn't going to easily give away the extravagant lifestyle for his entourage until the club is on the brink of being bust, the fans continue to pay to watch the rubbish, they will keep dishing it up

Once the dust has settled on another rubbish defeat to Walsall this weekend, Groves & Brooks will be shown the door with James & Fletch taking over on a caretaker basis. After ten games and ten consecutive victories AFCB hit the top spot in League One and their positions are made permanent. UTCIAD!

The standard of proof required in a Court of Law is that of "beyond reasonable doubt". The jury in the case were not persuaded by the prosecution the it was beyond reasonable doubt that Terry has racially abused Ferdinand.
The standard of proof in a professional court is that of "balance of probability". In the case of the FA charge the panel believed on the balance of probability that Terry had abused Ferdinand.
In addition you need to read the judges comments following the Court case, he clearly beleived that Terry had commited the crime for which he had been charged despite the decision of the jury.
