MATHIEU Baudry insisted he was ready to pull out all the stops to prove his doubters wrong after he was released by Cherries.

The luckless Frenchman showed promise during his stint at Dean Court but saw his progress hampered by injury setbacks.

Central defender Baudry, who is also capable of playing in midfield, was restricted to just six starts and six substitute appearances after joining the League One club at the end of the 2011 January transfer window.

A product of the Le Havre academy, Baudry had been hoping to get a new contract after a loan spell at Dagenham & Redbridge last season.

But announcing his Cherries exit on social networking website Twitter yesterday, he said: “I won’t be a Bournemouth player next season... thank you everyone who supported me. Bournemouth will still have a special part for me.

“I don’t blame anyone. I will keep working and prove (people) wrong.”

Baudry was one of a number of out-of-contract players to be shown the door yesterday by newly-appointed manager Paul Groves.

As revealed exclusively by the Daily Echo via Twitter yesterday, boss Groves also released club captain Warren Cummings as part of his 2012 squad trimming.

Striker Lyle Taylor, goalkeeper Jordan Seabright and young |professionals Alex Parsons |and Paddy Hester were the ot-|her players to head through the exit.

Rookie defenders Dan Strugnell and Gary Bowles, meanwhile, have been offered further one-year contracts by Cherries.

Taylor had spent two years at Dean Court since being signed by Eddie Howe. The frontman tweeted: “As one door closes another opens. Thank you to all the fans and good luck to you all for the future.”

Worthing-based Parsons, who is aiming to earn a professional deal elsewhere, felt the club’s change of manager had come at a bad time for him.

He told the Daily Echo: “It was the best time of my life and I was disappointed and absolutely gutted when I found out, but there was nothing I could have done.

“The change in manager didn’t really help me in terms of the timing because there was not much chance for them to see me playing.”

Meanwhile, Groves last night confirmed that striker Michael Symes had been released.

Signed by former boss Eddie Howe, Symes scored four goals on loan at Rochdale in the closing stages of last season and netted 11 times for Cherries in 42 appearances, 26 of which were in the starting line-up.
