CHERRIES star Callum Wilson said England's "football did the talking" after their clash in Bulgaria was overshadowed by behaviour from home supporters.
The Euro 2020 qualifier was twice paused in Sofia with former Cherries defender Tyrone Mings, on his England debut, among those to report racist abuse from the stands.
Under new UEFA protocols, the game was halted and a stadium announcement was made on 28 minutes to warn fans about racist behaviour, including monkey chants and Nazi salutes.
A second warning was issued shortly before half-time, with supporters informed that the game would be abandoned if the abuse continued.
Many Bulgaria fans left the stadium at the interval and the game was completed, with England winning 6-0.
The Vasil Levski Stadium was already partly closed for the game as a sanction to Bulgaria for previous racist behaviour from their fans during matches in June.
Wilson, who was introduced for his fourth England cap late on, missed a chance to find the net, striking the post in stoppage time.
Taking to Instagram, the Cherries striker said: "What a result under difficult circumstances.
"Our football did the talking!"
