SIX of Cherries’ under-21 squad have signed new one-year deals.

Jordan Holmes, Tyler Cordner, Shaun Hobson, Keelan O’Connell, Mihai Dobre and Mikael Ndjoli have agreed to stay until at least the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Striker Ndjoli played a key role for Carl Fletcher’s men this season, scoring 30 goals to help Cherries finish third in the southern division of the Central League.

His positive form earned him a spot on the bench for the first team during Cherries’ FA Cup defeat at Wigan in January.

Defender Cordner captained the under-21s for the majority of the season.

Hobson went on loan to Chester in the National League, while Romanian Dobre has featured for both Rochdale and Bury.

O’Connell has been with the club since the age of 11 and has become a key member of the under-21 set-up.

Aussie stopper Holmes was named on the bench for the first team against Manchester United at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

Cherries also revealed they had offered fresh terms to midfielder Ben Whitfield.

The 22-year old, whose previous loan clubs include Kidderminster and Yeovil, made 40 appearances for League Two Port Vale this season, scoring four times.
