STRIKER Benik Afobe hinted at a desire to secure a permanent return to Wolves.

The 25-year-old, who made a loan move to Molineux from Cherries in January, has netted four times in his past four appearances for the Championship leaders.

He scored his first league goal for more than 10 months at Leeds earlier this month before also firing against Reading.

Afobe continued his improved form by striking a double against Burton Albion in his most recent appearance.

Asked what his future held, the frontman told Birmingham Live: “I’ve said this is home to me.

“We’ve still got eight games to go, those kind of calls (about the future) will be between Bournemouth, Wolves and my agent.

“I’ll have to sit down with my family but my dream has always been to play for Wolves in the Premier League, so, hopefully, that can happen.”

The former Arsenal youngster moved to the Dorset club from Wolves for around £9million in January 2016.

He has scored 11 times in 70 appearances for Eddie Howe’s men. Afobe’s only goal for Cherries this season came during the Carabao Cup win over Middlesbrough in October.
