STRIKER Sam Surridge has signed a new one-and-a-half year contract with Cherries.
The 19-year-old frontman penned a fresh deal which will keep him at the club until at least June 2019.
The youngster was sent on a season-long loan to League Two Yeovil at the start of the campaign and has made 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals.
He could line up when the Glovers this month host Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Speaking about the new deal at Cherries, Surridge told the club website: “I'm really happy and couldn't wait to get it done.
"I've enjoyed my time with Yeovil so far this season and I think I'm developing well.
"I want to come back the best player I can, it's nice to get rewarded."
Wimborne-raised Surridge played locally for Bournemouth Sports and was a prolific goalscorer for Cherries' youth team, having joined the club as a 14-year-old.
His previous loan clubs include Weymouth and Poole Town.
