DEFENDER Nathan Ake felt Cherries had been hard done by on both penalty decisions awarded against them at Crystal Palace.

The Dutchman had good views of the two incidents during the 2-2 draw.

Wilfried Zaha was judged to have been fouled inside the box by Asmir Begovic in the opening period and Charlie Daniels in second-half stoppage time.

Giving his views on the first incident, Ake told the Daily Echo: “I should have covered the ball that went through, I look at myself for that.

“What I then saw was that Bego went for the ball, touched the ball and Zaha went over.

“In my opinion it wasn’t a penalty but I haven’t seen it back, so I don’t know 100 per cent.”

Ake was one of a number of Cherries players pleading with referee Kevin Friend not to award the second spot-kick after Daniels’s challenge late on.

“This one for me was 100 per cent on the ball,” he added.

“I was behind it and I saw the ball going out.

“I was getting ready to prepare for the corner but he gave a penalty. In my opinion, it wasn’t.”

Bosnian stopper Begovic’s save denied striker Christian Benteke, meaning Cherries held on for a share of the spoils at Selhurst Park.
