EDDIE Howe called on Cherries’ players and fans to inspire one another during the Premier League clash with Brighton.

Stressing the importance of tomorrow’s home fixture, Howe claimed his squad had a responsibility to give their supporters something to cheer about.

Cherries are yet to win at home this season, suffering a 2-0 defeat to Watford before a last-gasp 2-1 reverse against Manchester City.

But with tomorrow's game set to take place under lights at Vitality Stadium (8pm), the Cherries boss hopes a special atmosphere will be created.

Howe told the Daily Echo: “The main points are we want to see passion in the performance. We want to see the players playing for the club and for the supporters – we want to see a united club.

“The supporters are going to play a huge part. You need the players to inspire the supporters but also the supporters to inspire the players.

“I do think it’s the players’ responsibility to do that first and foremost but the crowd can certainly help.

“I think we all know within the club how important this game is. Hopefully, that good atmosphere can be generated by everybody.

“We have had so many games over the years where the lights and the dark evenings seem to have inspired the players. Also, the crowds.

“I think there is a different atmosphere under lights and we are looking forward to the game.”
