THE severity of Lewis Grabban’s hamstring injury was yesterday due to be assessed.
On loan to Sunderland from Cherries, striker Grabban was replaced eight minutes before half-time during the Championship loss to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
The Wearsiders' top scorer this season sustained the problem while attempting to shoot at goal.
Black Cats boss Simon Grayson told the Sunderland Echo: “It looks like Lewis tweaked his hamstring. Of course it would be a blow because he is a good player.”
Meanwhile, Sam Surridge bagged his first Football League goal when he netted Yeovil Town’s second in their 2-2 draw with Morecambe in League Two.
The frontman finished expertly at the back post from Jake Gray’s right-wing cross.
