CHERRIES will launch their third Premier League campaign with a trip to West Brom on Saturday, August 12.

Watford are the first visitors to Vitality Stadium seven days later, with Eddie Howe’s team then hosting Manchester City on August 26 before the early-season international break.

Cherries are on the road on the campaign’s final day, with a game at Burnley pencilled in for Sunday, May 13, eight days after a home match against Swansea City.

A hectic festive period kicks off on Saturday, December 23, when Howe's men travel to Manchester City's Etihad Stadium – a ground where Cherries have suffered two of their toughest afternoons since promotion to the top flight.

Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United are Cherries’ opponents for a home fixture on Boxing Day and Everton are in town for the final match of 2017, on December 30.

Cherries make the short trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on New Year’s Day, after resuming their south coast rivalry with Chris Hughton’s newly-promoted team on September 16.

The club’s first top-flight meeting with Huddersfield Town is scheduled for November 18 at Vitality Stadium, with Cherries making the visit to the John Smith’s Stadium on February 10.

Cherries’ first encounter with Southampton is set for December 2, when the Hampshire club make the short trip to Dorset. Howe’s team will target a first away victory at Southampton on April 28, a match which comes hot on the heels of a game at Liverpool (April 14) and a home clash with Manchester United (April 21).

Memories of last season’s stunning 4-3 home triumph over Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will be rekindled when the Merseysiders come to Dorset on December 12.

There will be a first opportunity for Howe’s men to exact revenge on the Reds’ city rivals, Everton, on September 23, when Cherries go to Goodison Park, scene of a 6-3 defeat last term.

Premier League champions Chelsea are slated to visit Vitality Stadium on Saturday October 28, with the return fixture at Stamford Bridge on January 31.

A home game against Burnley on Tuesday, November 28, kicking off at 7.45pm, marks the first time in the 2017-18 campaign that Cherries will play a game under lights.

There is another night match at Manchester United a fortnight later, with the game at Old Trafford down for an 8pm start.

The match at West Brom will represent the first time Cherries have started a Premier League season away from their own ground, having hosted Aston Villa and Manchester United, respectively, to get their two previous top-flight campaigns under way.

Howe’s side were beaten 2-1 at the Hawthorns last season, having won by the same scoreline at the ground during a six-match unbeaten run in December 2015.

The 2017-18 season finishes one week earlier in May than the recent campaign owing to the World Cup finals beginning in Russia on June 14 – one year today.

All fixtures are subject to change with the Premier League’s broadcast partners set to get their heads together this month to select matches for live screening.
