LEWIS Cook's England under-20s side advanced to the last-16 of the World Cup by beating South Korea 1-0 in Suwon.
Cherries midfielder Cook was an unused substitute, as Everton attacker Kieran Dowell scored the only goal of the game against the hosts, in front of more than 35,000 people.
The victory sealed top spot in Group A for the young Lions, who had already beaten Argentina and drawn with Guinea – when Cook spectacularly scored his country's goal.
England will now return to Jeonju, where they played their opening two matches – for their second round contest next Wednesday. Potential opponents include Portugal, Japan, Italy and Vietnam.
Cook and his team-mates are already entering uncharted territory. Their 3-0 victory over the Argentines was the first by an England team in this competition since 1997.
That side, featuring former Liverpool trio Jamie Carragher, Michael Owen and Danny Murphy, had their tilt at global glory shattered by Argentina in round two.
England's best run in the competition was ended at the semi-final stage by Ghana in 1993.
