JACK Wilshere’s loan with Cherries is set to come to a disappointing end after scans revealed he had broken his leg.
The Arsenal and England midfielder received the news following a second CT scan on the injury he suffered to his left ankle in a tackle with Harry Kane during Cherries’ 4-0 defeat at Tottenham on Saturday.
According to a report in the Daily Mirror, it showed a crack to his left fibula, similar to the problem which kept him out for most of last season.
Wilshere, 25, underwent an initial X-ray which did not show a break, but further checks revealed the full extent of the injury.
Wilshere left White Hart Lane on crutches and in a protective boot and may now return to Arsenal for treatment.
