AFC Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said he was disappointed at the comprehensive 4-0 defeat to a relentless Tottenham Hotspur.

"It was a difficult game. I was disappointed with the goals we conceded.

"When you come to places like this you have try to stay in the game as long as possible and we didn't do that."

He added: "We contributed to our downfall. We would have wanted to have played better."

On the last few games of the season he said.

"We know we need more points. We have five games to go and we need to keep focussed."

He praised both Chelsea and Tottenham, having played both in a week.

"Tottenham make it very difficult for you to play. They are the team we aspire to be."
