CELTIC are reportedly plotting a move for Cherries midfielder Emerson Hyndman who is currently enjoying a fruitful loan spell with their Glasgow rivals Rangers.

MailSport claim Celtic – who were yesterday crowned Scottish Premiership champions – have already made “initial contact” with Cherries.

Hyndman was Eddie Howe’s first summer signing in 2016, joining Cherries from Fulham for a compensation fee in the region of £750,000.

He penned a four-year contract but suffered a setback when he sustained an ankle injury in his first training session.

The 20-year-old was handed his first start in Cherries’ FA Cup third round defeat at Millwall when he was substituted after 56 minutes.

Hyndman’s only previous appearances for Cherries came from the bench in the EFL Cup ties with Morecambe and Preston.

The American has flourished since joining Rangers in January and has netted four times in 11 games.

Meanwhile, The Sun have claimed Cherries loan star Jack Wilshere is wanted by West Ham.

The midfielder is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of next season and has been linked with a host of clubs.
