FORMER Cherries boss Harry Redknapp believes Eddie Howe is not ready to manage Arsenal, should the opportunity arise.
Arsene Wenger's future at the Emirates has been the subject of intense speculation in the wake of the Gunners' 5-1 hammering by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Ex-Cherries boss Redknapp discussed the possibility of Howe taking the reins at Arsenal as a guest on BBC five live.
He said: “Eddie has done a fantastic job at Bournemouth but he has worked with young players.
“You know (world class) footballers, suddenly they're saying, who's he? Who did he play for?
“You're dealing with big stars. You're dealing with the Sanchezes and Ozils. It's a different level, different level.
“Is he ready to step in at Arsenal now? I've got to be honest, I don't think he is.”
