CHERRIES are "unlikely" to attempt to sign permanently Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere at the end of the season, according to reports.
Midfielder Wilshere has made 21 appearances for the Dorset club since joining on a season-long loan from the Gunners in the summer.
And although the 25-year-old has proved a popular figure at Vitality Stadium, the Telegraph reports his displays are "yet to convince" Cherries to make an offer to his parent club.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed this morning that there had been no approach from Cherries to make permanent the England international's stay on the south coast.
Asked if he expected Wilshere to return to Arsenal at the end of the season, Wenger said: "Yes. We have had no move from Bournemouth for Jack Wilshere."
Wilshere's Arsenal deal expires in the summer of 2018 and Wenger previously said the club would attempt to agree a new deal with the player.
However the Telegraph stated there were no plans for Arsenal to offer Wilshere any "playing guarantees" at Emirates Stadium.
