CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe expects to sit down with Artur Boruc in the summer to discuss the goalkeeper’s future.
The Poland international has had a tight stranglehold on the number one jersey since his arrival from Southampton – initially on loan – in September 2014.
Boruc, who turns 37 next month, is midway through a one-year deal at Vitality Stadium.
Responding to questions from the Daily Echo, Howe said: “It’s similar to last year with Artur. He played all season and then we sat down in the summer and had a discussion. I’m sure it will be similar again.”
The goalkeeper’s position has been a notable topic of discussion in recent days after Cherries reportedly had a £10million bid for Chelsea stopper Asmir Begovic turned down. And Antonio Conte admitted earlier today that the Blues were considering an offer for the 29-year-old Bosnian.
Howe has a long-standing policy of not speaking publicly about individual targets and politely declined to comment on Begovic, who made nine appearances during a loan spell at Dean Court from Portsmouth in 2007.
Cherries have also been linked with Norwich’s Robbie Brady.
