JUNIOR Stanislas bemoaned the "frustrating" manner in which Cherries deserted their usual passing game after surrendering an equaliser to Hull City on Saturday.

Stanislas blasted the visitors in front from the penalty spot after just three minutes at the KCOM Stadium.

But Abel Hernandez scored either side of the break and Tyrone Mings put through his own net to condemn Cherries to a 3-1 defeat.

“It’s frustrating,” Stanislas told the club website. “We usually get the ball down, pass it and do that effectively.

“Today as soon as they scored they got on the front foot and instead of passing it we went a little more direct, got caught on the ball and gave it away cheaply.

"If you do that in this league you get punished for it – and you saw that today.

“We dominated the game for the first 25 minutes, then they scored and it was downhill from there.

“We were a little bit slow to react all around, the second half started the same and you get punished for that.”

Stanislas acknowledged that once they found themselves trailing, Cherries didn't show the necessary wit to recover.

He added: "Once you’re chasing a two-goal deficit it’s always going to be difficult.

“We have done that before, coming back from being down, but today I don’t think we were good enough.”
