JASON Tindall believes Chelsea are happy with loan star Nathan Ake's progress at Cherries.

While the versatile Dutchman is midway through a season-long deal at Vitality Stadium, the Blues could trigger a recall clause in his loan agreement.

However, assistant boss Tindall reckons the Stamford Bridge side have been pleased with Ake's efforts on the south coast.

Asked if Cherries had received contact from Chelsea about the loan deal, Tindall said: "No, I think Chelsea are very pleased with Nath. They are monitoring his performances closely.

"The feedback from Chelsea has been positive. Nath had to wait for his opportunity but since he has got in the team, everyone can see what a great signing he has been."

At the end of December, Eddie Howe politely declined to comment on the possibility of Cherries tabling a bid for Ake out of respect to his parent club.

Reports in the national press suggested the Dorset side were preparing to offer around £10million for the 21-year-old.

Asked whether Cherries were in the market for Ake, Howe said at the time: “I think that is something for down the line. He is very much committed to Chelsea at the moment and is their player so I wouldn’t want to say anything disrespectful to them."
