EDDIE Howe says Jack Wilshere is good enough to play for any football team in the world – while Harry Arter insists there is not another English midfielder who rivals Wilshere for natural talent.

The 24-year-old has reignited his career with Cherries since joining on loan from Arsenal and has completed the full 90 minutes on each of his past five appearances for the club.

Howe told the Daily Echo: “Jack’s come from Arsenal and has huge international experience, so his ability and the club he’s come from are not in question.

“The only thing ever in question with Jack was his fitness and his ability to stay sufficiently injury free to progress that to the level it was at previously.

“In terms of the player and his ability to play in this team – or any team, in my opinion, in England or in any league in the world – that is not in question.”

Arter joined his boss in paying tribute to Wilshere, telling the Daily Echo: “I look at that England squad and, midfielder-wise, I don’t see anyone as naturally talented as Jack.

“He has everything a midfielder could want; his range of passing, he’s tenacious, he’s always looking to create things and he always wants the ball.

“I don’t see many English players who get near him.”
