SKIPPER Simon Francis admits Jack Wilshere has given his Cherries team-mates pointers over how to combat Arsenal – the midfielder's parent club.

Loan star Wilshere is ineligible to feature against the Gunners at Emirates Stadium tomorrow (2.15pm).

Asked if the England international had given any pointers, Francis told the Daily Echo: "He's been giving us a few.

"He loves Arsenal so it's probably a hard one for him to tell us their weaknesses and say how we can beat them.

"But I'm sure he will be hoping we do get a result there. He will be watching on and it will be an interesting occasion for him.

"We will miss his quality, of course – he's Jack Wilshere. But, hopefully, we can replace that."

Premier League captains are due to don rainbow-coloured armbands this weekend in support of Stonewall's Rainbow Laces initiative, which aims to crack down on homophobic, biphobic and transphobic attitudes in sport.

Francis added: "It's great for all the clubs to show unity in this situation.

"Everyone has agreed to it and I'm more than happy to play my part and represent the club by wearing the armband.

"It's nice to see football has come a long way and can bring everyone together, whatever their situation in life and I'm happy to play a part."
