EDDIE Howe says he cannot believe four years have already flashed by since he returned for a second stint in charge of Cherries.

The 38-year-old was re-appointed at Dean Court in October 2012 – 22 months after he had departed for Burnley.

Howe told the Daily Echo: “It doesn’t seem like four years. It’s amazing how quickly time goes in football and in life, really.

"When I look back, not just the four years, but my managerial career in total, it’s crazy how quickly it’s gone.

“My thirties have gone near enough in the blink of an eye. I’ll soon be into my forties.

"There’s been so many standout moments. Winning promotion from League One and winning the Championship. The first year in the Premier League was incredible and I think this year is going to be just as good.

“I’m sure we’ll look back in a few years’ time and really appreciate it fully.”

Such is Cherries relatively lofty current standing, they go into today’s match with Hull as overwhelming favourites to win. Not that Howe pays any attention to what the bookmakers think.

“The odds are a lottery to me,” he said. “I don’t really take too much notice of them. All I know is we’re playing a very good team in the Premier League and it won’t be easy.”
