ASSISTANT boss Jason Tindall has praised the progress of Emerson Hyndman following the American's summer move to Vitality Stadium.

The 20-year-old midfielder made his second competitive appearance in the EFL Cup defeat to Preston last week, having made his debut against Morecambe in the same competition in August.

And while the former Fulham man is yet to feature in the Premier League in the face of fierce competition for places in central midfield, Tindall feels the youngster's career is moving forward.

Tindall told the Daily Echo: "Emerson is doing fantastically well. He's got a huge amount of potential and some fantastic qualities.

"We like Emerson a lot. He is a young kid who is learning every day and progressing in the right way and I think he is going to be a real asset for this football club.

"He is a great professional and a great lad who trains exceptionally well.

"With the young players we've signed, we've signed them because we believe they are going to go on to become exceptional players and we're looking forward to seeing their potential."
