CHERRIES chairman Jeff Mostyn has ruled out an exit for Eddie Howe in the near future amid further rumours of interest from Arsenal.

The Sun stated Howe was "under serious consideration" for the Gunners top job and that the manager had "influential admirers" at the club.

Arsene Wenger's deal at the Emirates is due to run out at the end of the season and with the Frenchman yet to make a decision over whether or not to extend his stay, the report added: "The club believe Howe can be moulded as a direct replacement."

In an interview with talkSPORT, Jeff Mostyn ruled out a switch for Howe in the near future, insisting the boss had "unfinished business" at Vitality Stadium.

Mostyn said: "We have a man of immense talent and any man of talent, whatever business you are in, is always going to be sought after. We see that very much as a compliment.

"But Eddie is a Bournemouth boy through and through. He has been with the football club since he was 10. There is unfinished business.

"He has made it clear that over the next two or three years, hopefully, we can establish ourselves as a thoroughbred Premier League side and only then would he consider moving on."
