HARRY Arter has been restored to the Republic of Ireland squad after his Euro 2016 disappointment – and could feature alongside Robbie Keane in the striker’s final international appearance.

Midfielder Arter and Cherries club-mates Marc Wilson and Eunan O’Kane have been included for Ireland’s friendly at home to Oman as well as the opening game of their World Cup qualifying campaign away to Serbia.

Arter was cruelly denied the chance to play at Euro 2016 after he sustained a thigh injury in the build up to the tournament in France, while O’Kane was overlooked. Wilson, then a Stoke City player, was also ruled out by injury.

Ireland host Oman at Aviva Stadium on Wednesday and travel to Belgrade to face Serbia the following Monday.

The Oman clash is due to be the swansong of Ireland legend Keane, who has scored 67 goals in 145 games, making him the record caps holder and top goalscorer for his country.

The former Tottenham and Liverpool striker announced his intention to step away from Ireland duty on Wednesday.

Brad Smith and Adam Federici are in the Australia squad for World Cup qualifiers against Iraq and the United Arab Emirates.

Artur Boruc (Poland), Joshua King (Norway), Max Gradel (Ivory Coast) and Tokelo Rantie (South Africa) have also been called up.

Winger Ryan Fraser, who made his Premier League debut for Cherries at West Ham on Sunday, has been named in the Scotland Under-21s set-up.

Lewis Cook is in the England under-20s squad for a friendly against Brazil at Aggborough Stadium.
