CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe has urged his players not to be in awe of Zlatan Ibrahimovic when Manchester United visit Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

Swedish striker Ibrahimovic was one of the most high-profile arrivals at Old Trafford this summer following his exit from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 34-year-old has an impressive goals record across a string of European leagues and netted more than 100 times during four years in France.

Ibrahimovic scored a late header to give United a 2-1 Community Shield win over Leicester last weekend.

Howe said: "I'm not picking their team but I think he will probably play. He is a real talent and it's great to see him in the Premier League.

"We don't want to be in awe of him, we want to deal with him and try and keep him quiet.

"I think you could pick any player in United's line-up as a threat, even their full-backs, Valencia and Shaw.

"We are well aware of the test in front of us but, hopefully, we will give as good as we get."

Reflecting on the potential for new arrivals at Cherries in the remainder of the transfer window, Howe said: "We're looking for players. We haven't finished our business.

"That's not to say we're definitely going to sign anybody but we're hopeful we can add a minimum of one and maybe two to the squad."
