CHERRIES have been linked with a £7million-plus deal for flexible French attacker Lys Mousset.

Football website Squawka reports the 20-year-old prospect, who featured against England in the recent Toulon Tournament final, is putting the finishing touches to his deal after undergoing a medical this week.

A product of the revered Le Havre Academy that brought through the likes of Paul Pogba, Dimitri Payet and Lassana Diarra, Mousset scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for the Ligue 2 outfit last season.

He was utilised in central and wide positions with Cherries said to have been quick to act as rival clubs prepared to pounce.

The Bristol Post claimed Championship outfit Bristol City, Italian club Torino and Spanish top-flight side Sevilla were in for Mousset, a player with eight caps for France at under-20 level.

The speculation follows hot on the heels of Cherries securing a deal for Fulham hot prospect and USA international midfielder Emerson Hyndman, who will join once his Craven Cottage deal expires at the end of this month.

A post on Get French Football News' Twitter feed today suggested Mousset's agent was in Bournemouth to finalise a deal.
