CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe gave departing striker Jayden Stockley his best wishes ahead of his move to Scotland.

The 22-year-old product of the Cherries youth system yesterday penned a pre-contract arrangement with the Dons with his Dean Court deal set to expire next month.

Stockley, who spent the past season on loan at Portsmouth and Exeter, last played a first-team match for Cherries under Lee Bradbury

Howe said: "We wish him well. He has probably been a victim of the speed of our success.

"He was someone we rated very highly in our League Two days and felt he would have a really big future here but the club has moved forward.

"Now we are in the Premier League, it becomes more and more difficult for younger players to come through.

"Aberdeen is a good move for him and we wish him every success."
