ROBERTO Martinez must be checking his car tyres for the remains of a black cat.
Under fire from supporters on the back of a seven-match winless run in the Premier League, the Everton boss now has to do without England international defender Phil Jagielka against Cherries tomorrow (3pm).
Jagielka joins fellow centre-half Ramiro Funes Mori (suspended) as well as Gareth Barry and Seamus Coleman on the sidelines.
Fans plan to protest at Goodison Park in a bid to get Martinez sacked but the ex-Wigan manager insists he has no problem with scrutiny.
“We are probably closer than ever of finding a way to challenge for silverware and I am looking at the past three seasons,” said Martinez at yesterday’s press conference.
“I wouldn’t want to be judged on being the manager of the ninth highest budget of the league.
“I want to be under the scrutiny of being the manager of Everton, which is a huge football club. I expect to be challenging for silverware and being in the top positions.”
